I am extremely encouraged to advise that our Resorts in Sal are in high demand due to the ever-increasing popularity of Cape Verde as a year-round destination. This is great news for Cape Verde and holidaymakers alike, many of whom continue to return to our Resorts year after year.
As such, we have invested a significant amount of monies into the Resorts to ensure that guest satisfaction, service and quality is of absolute paramount importance and this is something that we take extremely seriously. We are continuing our investment into each of our Resorts to upgrade some of our facilities for clients to enjoy and by providing continued professional development to our loyal employees to ensure continuity of service.
An example of just some of the investment that we have made over these last few months include the following;
Dunas Beach Resort
The opening of Linekers, our new popular sports bar, which opened in December 2024
The opening of Signora Sassi, one of Sal’s best Italian Restaurants
A brand new al fresco cocktail and juice bar
Repairs to all gym areas and gym equipment
Dunas kids club has been refurbished to provide a more creative space for children
Dunas Sal Bar has received a face lift, with decoration and a brand new back bar and ambient lighting.
The Dunas amphitheatre has received a more powerful and enhanced image projector to deliver better entertainment for adults and families all round.
Further planned upgrades for Dunas Beach Resort:
Ø Red Velvet – a brand new jazz bar, serving cocktails with live music and entertainment, opening soon
Ø Enhancements and refurbishments planned for hotel rooms
Tortuga Beach Resort
The O’Grill beach bar at Tortuga Beach has been refurbished and relaunched as La Cabana, our stunning new beachfront venue with an extension to the lounge bar area and restaurant areas. New decoration and more ambient lighting makes La Cabana as the new place to be at Tortuga.
Tortuga’s reception has been renewed and extended allowing more space for arrivals and departures
The gym has been relocated, renewed, revamped, and is now offering various lessons such as spinning, yoga and dance classes
New WIFI system is now in place ensuring easier and better connection across the Resort
‘The Secret Garden’ at Tortuga has recently opened, creating a space for clients to enjoy a more intimate setting for drinks and snacks
Tortuga’s Spa has been refurbished with additional treatment rooms created. The addition of a hair and beauty salon and an extension to the relaxation areas further complement the Spa with jacuzzi /wet room facility also featured as part of the spa circuit
Additional enhancements include;
An enhanced entertainment area for Bar Marley, one of the best reggae bars on Sal, with a further extension planned to add a new beach bar called ‘ Cocktails & Dreams’ to provide a further option for residential and external guests to enjoy
Over 500 rooms across our Resorts have been refurbished and brought back into operation
Proposed works throughout 2025:
As part of our desire to continue our investment in 2025 to achieve even more positive guest reviews, we are committed in reviewing all of our F&B menus to ensure a varied choice of quality food types, including Vegan, vegetarian and coeliac options.
A perpetual recruitment drive of housekeeping and service staff will continue to be implemented across all Resorts to increase room serviceability. A new Head of Maintenance has joined our team to ensure all Resort areas are well maintained and that any issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
Animation programmes are being reviewed to ensure they cater for all audiences with high quality performances and entertainment being provided throughout the days and evenings.
Finally, as the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Group, it is my pleasure and ultimate ambition to provide an unparalleled five-star experience to all of our clients so that they can enjoy a well-deserved holiday in the Republic of Cape Verde.
Kind Regards
Rob Jarrett
Executive Chairman
